None of the hides are tricky, clever or difficult (no nanos hung in trees). The aim of the series is simply to take you on a nice walk, picking up some caches on the way.
Within the forest you will find evidence of historical mining activity, including shafts (now capped with conical steel frames) and the remains of the mine adit (cache 10). These can be seen from the main paths at various stages during the walk, you do not need to get close enough to any of them to disappear down one.
