copper_toad: Just like a Disney movie, the mother is not in the picture anymore. A new power line and some cable or pipe laying went right over the cache location. I don't know if the cache had been removed or just simply buried. I will go back and see if I might get lucky and find it relocated! If I find it, I will place it in a new location, otherwise, I will carve a different one and place that one in the area. Got to keep the family together!
