Weight A Minute (Wellington) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Growly Bear: As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

What is this doing here?

Despite my best efforts, I've been unable to deduce why this piece of historic Marfleet & Weight machinery decorates the middle of Kilbirnie Plaza.

Information on the unit reveals it was built in Melbourne, Australia to a design by Canadian firm J Bertram Sons & Co. And the large, round circle protruding out the front is a revolving feed table.

You may have to wait a minute for the constant stream of muggles - especially from the cafe opposite - to ease before you can attempt to grab this camouflaged cache (but this will give you time to locate a pen from your geo-bag). NB: There is no need to search the nearby vegetation.

Inside, the container is an unactivated Travel Ingot for the FTF and two collectible pathtags - including one from my own It's Not About The Numbers blog.
