This cache is placed at Freshwater Beach, which is our favourite beach. It is a nice small beach with great views of big waves from above and nice sized waves nearer to the shore for surfers and boogie-boarders.
The beach has a pool on one side which is cleaned once a week but gets very dirty. It is cleaned on Wednesday evening at the moment. You can walk on a paved path which goes far enough up the cliff that even at king tide you would be okay.
Fairly close to here is McKillop park, where we acknowledge the Duke who brought surfing into this country at this very beach. There is a sculpture of him here and information too. Without the Duke, beaches may have never been as fun here in Australia.
The cache is not placed at the beach itself, where it would be quite easily muggled, but at the top of the cliff where you can easily access the beach and pool. Near the geozone there is a nice sculpted bench made out of sandstone where you can sit and enjoy the views of the beach and waves below. How lucky we are to have such a beautiful beach.
This is a very popular local beach so the parking can get a bit tricky on a hot summer day. If you arrive early, there usually isn't a problem. You can park in the McKillop Parking Lot near the cache or in one of several parking lots further down. You have to pay for parking in the lots unless you have a Warringah Council sticker. There is also plenty of street parking in the area if you don't want to pay the exorbitant parking fees. Please do not come here too often or this beach will get too crowded! 
The cache is a micro and is not very suitable for swappables. The cache contains a dollar for the first-to-find. Please replace the cache exactly where and how you found it.
