Woody Hole cache is on lovely short circular walk called Baggeridge Woodland walk. It starts from the Baggeridge Country Park visitor centre and goes down into the park accross a wooden bridge and onto public footpaths which is where the cache is. The walk can get a little steep in places and perhaps not quite suited to buggies.
Baggeridge Country Park provides an ideal setting for those looking for wildlife and those wishing to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. This is a really beautiful area which I feel lucky having so close to home. Himley Hall is only a short distance away and is also another lovely area to explore. Both these places have toilets and refreshments.
The cache is on a well trodden path and there are various ways to approach it all giving a pleasant walk. From Baggeridge Country Park visitors centre and Himley Hall are the best but also from the A449 near to Wombourne Island where there is room to park just off the road.
The cache is a circular brass pot a bit bigger than a 35mm film canister. There is a logbook and pencil but no room for swaps. Please cover back up out of sight and only approach when the coast is clear.
