Largish, screw topped plastic jar, wrapped with duct tape. Not a difficult hide, but (currently) at the culmination of a wonderful stroll up beautifully fall-hued Birch Canyon Road.
Grandkids Tasia and Taveon, AKA Puppy_Eyes and Dragon_Eyes, accompanied us on our quest of "Secret" a few weeks ago, back when "Secret" was Birch Canyon's "ultimate hide" The other day our same team sought a series of recently placed Kiestered caches, chasing dfly all the way ... only to learn the next morning that 'fly had tucked a few more up higher! (Nasty 'fly!)
So, today, Team Chemed2, along with Puppy_Eyes and Dragon_Eyes, our daughter/their mom, and a couple of energetic dogs, made the passage one more time.
And THIS time we portaged a cache of our OWN, intending to place it 0.1 mile above 'fly's highest.
Only to find that someone had beaten us to these new ones today ... Kiestered Family!!! And we noticed fresh hoof prints and recent horse poop ... and the tracks went, you guessed it, exactly 0.1 of a mile beyond the last "Toy Story" cache. Very suspicious, indeed!
So what did we do? We meandered ANOTHER 0.1 mile up the scenic trace. And that's where this little gem is stashed. (And, yes, we did, indeed, scour the area where we are pretty-darn-sure the Kiestereds must've put one, but no luck.)
T and T are totally excited to have a cache up there in their name. You'll find it easily ... and, if you look quickly (before next week's deer hunt, and ahead of winter, but not in the heat of summer) you will enjoy this walk as much as we did!
Or you can ride your horse.
Congrats to Bestbudz for braving the falling leaves and fabulous autumn day to make the FTF. T and T will be very pleased!
