Geocache Description:

This should be fairly easy in that you do not have to hike miles, swim rivers, or beat back muggles.

This is the fish hatchery and the Wyoming Fly Casters Memorial Public Access Area. It is off the beaten path but is pretty neat to see. Been driving past the roadside signs for this place for years and decided today to check it out. Interesting.

An early pioneer, Daniel Napoleon Speas (and the Mrs)who, after driving past foul carcasses of livestock felled by the severe winter snows of 1886 and 1887, reached the S-O Ranch, near Glenrock, where Speas worked for the Carey Brothers. After establishing his own homestead in Bessemer Bend, he lamented the waste of those dead cattle and knew the severe Wyoming winters required a winter hay crop. Speas built an irrigation flume froma spring on his claim, and soon he serviced six other ranches producing fertile hayfields.

Like most of my caches, placed above the ground to make it accessable year round. Cammo film can with BLM pin inside. Bring writing stick.

I should mention that there is a walk-over bridge here. If searching after dark bring some light so you don't end up in the creek.
