The Rock-E of Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is a fairly easy and kid friendly cache at the top of a short hill. its small but large enough to hold some swag items. 4x4 accesible or park at bottom and take a short hike up one of three trails. Oh, and watch for snakes in the warmer months. happy caching!

Being that this would be my first hide ever, I wanted to find a location that had some meaning to me. So here we are, overlooking a small valley of dirtbike trails that me and my friends used to ride on when we were kids. Hunting snakes and getting dirty, and just being kids. This was my playground.
Now, over 20 years later I found myself on this very hilltop with my Godson, Matthew B., looking at this geocaching app on my new smart phone. "Wow, there is one really close to here Matthew" I said. "Lets go look for it" he replied. And so it began. Since that was where we decided to go look for our very first geocache, it seemed a fitting place to hide our very first geocache.
After climbing the hill and scoping out the terrain, we decided on a nice little spot, just East of the road, spent a little time preparing the area, and returned to the house to choose our container, apply some cammo, and to fill the cache with swag.
Original contents include: FTF micro coin(for the FTF), a dollar bill, a superman paperclip, a lego car, a hot wheels car, a rubber dragonfly, a pair of dice, two pirate skull erasers, 4 silly bands, a Carrie Underwood set list, a peace charm in a locket, and a mini bottle of tobasco sauce.
At the time of hiding, the area surrounding was burnt, so in coming months, underbrush might grow over the area making it more difficult.

Congratulations to Vagabond for being the FTF.
