DO NOT CLIMB THROUGH THE LOW HEDGE... GO UP BESIDE IT ON A SORT OF PATH. PRESERVE THIS AREA.
This educational establishment was opened on the 1st of February, 1897. The number of pupils on the roll is 100, and the school is conducted under the Government syllabus and inspection.
This educational facility housed both a Primary and Secondary level school. (Some of you cachers may have Dads and grand dads who attended.)
The name Marist is firmly and frequently engraved on southern trophies of every sporting code.
Marist College and the Dominican-run St Catherine's college combined to form one Catholic co-educational high school, Verdon College, on Rockdale Rd, east Invercargill about 1971.
This cache is in memory of the school and is located on the site of the school.
Now on this property there is a large commercial building.
The area is very exposed to muggles so take care. No need to barge through the low hedge.
Cache is beside the building at ground level. 500 ml white cap screw container covered with black tape.
Contains: log book #2, pencil,sharpner. Cache replaced after muggled 22.12.11. Take a pen in case the pencil is gone.
