Welcome to our favourite section of the Waterfront Trail, the best winter trail we have found. An easy, level, wide trail. Warm on a windy winter day, cool on a sultry summer day.
Or you can park at the east end of the trail for a very short walk.
To access the trail you will need to go
SOUTH on HOPE ROAD (N 43° 56.955', W 78° 17.124')
to Lake Ontario. Hike from here or from one of the other free parking spots.
This was a very popular cache for us, visited by many unknown and known cachers. A great spot to stretch your legs and break up the monotony of the 401.
January 2012: Our 4th replacement for this cache site.
The cache log now is in a micro which is contained in a larger container which we hope the birds don't take too seriously.
It has a front and back door to make the log easier to retrieve. Please take care to close the front door after signing the log.
This 4th replacement cache is anchored in position.

May 2011: The cache is now a small container the size of a GPS. It will hold small trades only and the new log book.
Please recover lightly with sone cedar twigs.
2010: Formerly a black toolbox, the cache container is now a large coffe container painted black and contains the usual assortment of goodies for the youngsters to trade and of course, a new log book.
The cache is in a slightly different location, only slightly more hidden. There is no need to be scratched by the nearby thorns.
You may wish to move away from the area before opening the cache as the trail is rarely deserted.
