Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of presidential caches.

These caches will come in a variety of sizes, difficulties and terrains. They will be placed all across the area. Hopefully everyone will enjoy finding them.

Jimmy Carter was the 39th U.S. president. He was born on October 1, 1925 in a hospital in Plains, Georgia making him the first US president to be born in a hospital. He was president from January 20, 1977 until January 20, 1981. He was affiliated with the Democratic party.

His one term in office was plagued with problems. The energy crisis early in his tenure resulted in high gas prices and long lines at the pump. Many stations were rationing gas. In 1980 he decided to boycott the Olympics as a result of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. The economy was extremely bad during his administration with unemployment rising close to 8% and inflation in the 12% range near the end. Perhaps the best known problem during his time in office was a failed attempt to rescue the American hostages in Iran. Overall, he is considered by many to be one of the worst presidents in U.S. history.

This should be a very easy find. It is a pretty standard hide, and should be a quick cache and dash. Have fun.
