Geocache Description:

A small cache in the Tai Po Waterfront Park, Hong Kong's largest park (not counting the country parks).

Tai Po Waterfront Park - a fairly large park measuring about 22 hectares located in Tai Po, at the waterfront as the name suggests already. It is the largest park in Hong Kong, not counting the country parks. It features many trees, flowers, a lookout tower, and grasslands. Quite unique for Hong Kong is that you're actually allowed on the grass, and off the paved paths.
Many people go to this park to relax, hang out, and play with kites - the only park in Hong Kong that I know of where kites are allowed. More details can be found here.
This park is great for a the kids as besides several children's playgrounds there is plenty of open grassland for them to just run around.

GPS location is remarkably unreliable for a park setting; probably the solid concrete walls near GZ cause too much bounce. The cache is placed near where the now muggled GC2REB9 was placed.

Note for wheelchair users: the area near the cache is wheelchair accessible, however the last 1-2m to grab the cache is not.

Tai Po new town is one of the oldest New Town developments in Hong Kong. Development started in the 1970s with the major improvement of the then KCR train services, providing fast and convenient transport services to the north-eastern New Territories.
Tai Po district has a population of just over 300,000 people, of which about 250,000 live in the urban areas and the rest lives scattered in villages around the district. The district has a remarkably rich history, having served as political and trade centres over the last centuries.
Getting around Tai Po is best done by bicycle, there are several shops renting out bicycles near Tai Po Market station, on Kwong Fuk Road and also in other parts of the town.
