Shady Cache Traditional Cache
StevensCreekOutdoors: It probably would have happened eventually. I always had trouble finding it, my campers thi ssummer had a lot of trouble finding it and I would have had to move it once the new policy is instituted. So, I decided to put it out of it's misery. Thanks to all those that took the time to find it.

The purpose the LPNP series of caches is
to attract visitors to Latta Plantation Nature Preserve (& Latta Plantation Nature Center; first building on the right), show what Mecklenburg County Nature Preserves have to offer and promote the great sport of geocaching.
This cache is on the Shady Trail and should be fairly easy to find. Park at the gazebo/picnic area and take the trail head or head straight into the woods. Beware of muggles that may be picnicing. Some poison ivy in the area, but can be easily avoided if you are paying attention.
Contains only a log. Please leave it as you find it.
BYOP
Accessed across the main road from the
horse trailer parking lot, this easy, 1.6 mile loop begins in
a young mixed pine-hardwood forest. The trail heads south
towards Gar Creek where views of the inlet into Mountain
Island Lake can been seen during the winter months. The
trail skirts the edge between bottomland hardwood and
upland hardwood forests before turning back north, crossing
the main road and returning to the horse trailer parking
lot via a powerline right-of-way.
CONGRATS to Boudha on another rainy FTF!
