Post Halloween Get Together and Candy Liquidation Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Marko Ramius: Greetings! This event cache has recently come to my attention as needing to be archived. Please note that after an event has passed, the event cache should be archived by the organizer within four weeks. Don’t worry, the cache page will still be accessible and logable by either searching other cacher’s logs, by searching the cache owner’s hidden cache list, or by searching using the GCxxxx code.

Thank you for your understanding and for your contributions to Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

Team Something Somewhere is regrettably unable to attend any of the awesome sounding Halloween events, so we decided to host one the day after.

November 1st 2011 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

Located at Shakey’s pizza parlor .

1027 S Harbor Blvd Anaheim, CA 92805

Team Something Somewhere is inviting you to an after Halloween event. This is a casual event to facilitate what cachers do best; cache and talk about caching.

Everyone is welcome and as usual we encourage new cachers to attend. A sign in log will be available and a traditional cache container with swag for trade. Raffle will be held for caching prizes so make sure to sign in.

What about that Candy Liquidation?

Our daughter GeoBoo attends Fairmont elementary and is participating in a charity effort called “Operation Candy". Fairmont is working with Operation Gratitude; which is a tax deductible 501 (c)(3) corporation that creates and ships care packages to our active military overseas. For many of our troops overseas this is the only kind of care packages that they receive during the holidays.

This candy drive is designed to help the children learn about sharing and helping others. We are hoping that people can donate any type of individually wrapped candy; it can be leftover candy that you bought to hand out for Halloween and didn’t use. Or candy bought specifically for donation. Of course donations are purely voluntary and in no way are required, but are appreciated more than most can understand.

Prize drawings will be held during the event. An extra chance will be given to everyone that donates.
