Geocache Description:

As you will be aware you are now in the Back Paddock. Occasionally the gates will be locked for Parks Victoria Works. If the gates are locked please write a note and not a DNF in your log. The Koala is a marsupial native to Australia.

Despite often being called a "bear", the koala is in fact not a bear. Victorian koalas typically have longer, thicker fur than their interstate cousins. While the origins of the koala are unclear, almost certainly they descended from terrestrial wombat-like animals. Please let us know if you spot any koalas at Woodlands Park!

This cache is part of the Woodlands 100 Series.
