This Geocache is part of the RNLI series. The intention of the RNLI series is to raise the public awareness of their local lifeboat stations and to encourage the public to explore their coastline. I have relocated the GC a short distance from the original GC location due to the prescence of Muggles at the nearby bus stop. Stealth is still required, you may even need to come back another time, Enjoy!
New Brighton Lifeboat Station operates an Atlantic 85 Inshore Lifeboat B-837 ('Charles Dibdin Civil Service no.51') and an Inshore Rescue Hovercraft H-005 (‘Hurley Spirit’). The station is one of four RNLI lifeboat stations that operates an Inshore Rescue Hovercraft alongside the conventional Inshore Lifeboat. Please do have a look around the Lifeboat Station when it is open. If you do visit when the station is open, please write in the station visitors book to leave your messages and good wishes for the crew. PLEASE NOTE: THE LIFEBOAT STATION IS A 24HR EMERGENCY FACILITY. PLEASE DO NOT PARK OUTSIDE THE LIFEBOAT STATION. PARKING IS AVAILABLE ACROSS THE ROAD AT THE NEW MORRISONS SUPERMARKET. ALSO, THERE MAY BE TIMES WHEN IT IS NOT PRACTICAL TO ACCESS THE AREA OF THE GEOCACHE DUE TO AN EMERGENCY LAUNCH OR EXERCISE.
