Geocache Description:

"If they ever come up with a Swashbuckling School, I think one of the courses should be Laughing, Then Jumping Off Something."

NOTE - this is NOT a LPC! There is no need to lift or move anything made of metal to locate the container. (Thank you to loungelions, sorry you got stung!)
And it isn't under any of the concrete dividers, either

You will find this cache alongside the newest section of the Seymour River Greenway. This latest addition is 1.7 km long, with many steep sections (15% slope). The section south of Capilano University parking is paved and is the easiest part of the trail, although there are still some steep sections, particularly as you get closer to Mt Seymour Parkway. The section north of Capilano University is crushed rock & compacted gravel, and is 3 m wide. A wood staircase with over 100 steps is located along the north section of the trail just below Monashee Road.

You may walk or bike all sections of the trail, and dogs on leash are welcome. Please keep in mind the vast majority of the parking close to the cache site is pay parking so come prepared.

If you are looking for a great hike and don't mind the occasional challenging section, the north end of this trail hooks up with the LSCR Trail, where there are at least a dozen more caches that can be found not far from the main trail.

I gave this one 3 stars for difficulty because I made use of some abundant and unusual local camouflage. The hint will be an absolute give-away, though. Keep in mind that the power lines in the vicinity can play havoc with GPSr readings so you had better sharpen your geosenses! You should also make sure you bring along a writing implement.

I hope you enjoy your visit to this area. When I was looking for a spot to place the cache I watched a pair of eagles making lazy circles in the sky, and I am told there are sometimes deer browsing trailside.

If you feel like laughing then jumping off something, there's an interesting weird structure not far from GZ. I'm not certain exactly what its purpose is (underground lair?), and it has nothing whatsoever to do with the cache. Please put the cache back exactly as you found it and, as always, remember to keep thinking Deep Thoughts!
