Central Okanagan Search and Rescue Society, is a non-profit volunteer organization based out of Kelowna that is dispatched via the Provincial Emergency Program (PEP) and the RCMP.
Central Okanagan Search and Rescue provides its services to the Central Okanagan region, and the rest of British Columbia when requested rendering emergency aid to all, 24 hours a day, whenever needed.
Its membership consists of approximately 55 professionally trained technical rope rescue and swift water rescue technicians, emergency medical technicians and first responders, Ground Searchers as well as technical search and rescue management personnel.
Central Okanagan Search and Rescue members give freely of their own time and money in order to acquire the life-saving skills and knowledge required to provide safe and successful search and rescue operations.
If you or someone you know needs our help, please call 9-1-1 immediately. Time is critical in any rescue, and delaying your call for help might result in a more dangerous mission, or an unsuccessful rescue.
