The Open Road
Some of us have to travel to make a living. Some of us travel to see friends and family. And some of us travel just to see something different. Whatever the reason, most of us find ourselves on the open road at some point. I did so recently. To break up the monotony of miles I created a little challenge for myself. Lets see if I can get caches in five different states in a day. I looked at the map and planned my route then hit the road. Reaching three states was a piece of cake. Four was starting to push it. Five was definitely a challenge. While in my hotel room, I looked at the route for the next day and with a little adjustment I could try to do it again. The same scenario played out. The fifth cache is really the challenge. However it really made the days worth of driving much more interesting (Look at geocaches found in my profile on days 10/13/2011 and 10/14/2011 for reference). So now I pass the challenge on to you.
THE RULES
1. You must obtain at least one cache in five different states in one calender day.
2. The cache must have a container in which you sign a log. In other words no virtual, earthcaches, webcam, or event type caches can be used for this challenge.
3. Your five states day must be after 10/21/2011.
4. This cache cannot count as one of your state requirements.
5. You must include in your log for this cache the date in which you completed your five states. You do not have to get this cache on the same day. I will check the posted date in your profile to verify the finds.
6. Any found logs not meeting the rules will be quietly deleted.
Just remember the journey, not the destination, is the prize on this one. The cache is at the posted coordinates. Nothing special. Just a place for you to re-fuel for THE OPEN ROAD.
