Geocache Description:

Easy traditional cache in a small lock&lock box in a camo bag.

This is my second cache ever. I have lived in this area for many years and only recently discovered this lovely little wood when I saw a path through the dual carriageway on a map and wanted to investigate as no such path is visible from the road. This cache is hidden near the subway and can only be reached by foot, cycle or rickshaw. It is not on the dual carriageway. To get to it by car, drive down the dual carriageway, turn left then left and park up on the road. I have included a way point for on street parking and the start of the path. The underpass is a little surreal, appearing fully lit with no smoking signs but in a wood and over grown with ivy. Picture of it at night included. The other side of it is a very good kid's playground. One of 14 playgrounds around Whiteley but the only one with a high rope slide. Like my first cache, this one is dedicated to my daughter Jaina who discovered the wood with me and helped me get the coordinates. Picture of Jaina included. To get to the cache, it is mostly fully lit and tarmacked. Child and buggy friendly but there is a small deviation from the path to locate the actual hiding place. NO scaling of the slope to the dual carriageway needed. No climbing needed and no fences to cross. I have had to move the cache twice now due to muggles but hopefully its final resting place will last. Please be very careful when replacing and cover with sticks or leaves.
