Geocache Description:

The Green County Barn Quilts project started in 2008, and by the end of 2010 the 100th barn quilt was installed. Barn quilts are painted wooden squares (designed like one block of a real quilt pattern), generally 8 x 8 feet in size. Some are located on "working" barns, and others are displayed on "retired" barns. It's not as challenging as geocaching, but hunting for the barn quilt locations is a true adventure in experiencing the roads less traveled of the Green County countryside.

The farm was purchased in 1978. Barn used for steers & goats. Stop by & you may be greeted by the goats as they are out grazing. This quilt was painted by the Albany High School Art Class This farm was purchased originally in 1848 for $100 by William Whittacker. William & Maria had eloped & came to America to follow their dream. They farmed here 11 years before leaving for Australia. This Barn Quilt is called Friday the 13th.
