Geocache Description:

Sometimes as we travel our great Province and stop to get out of our vehicle and admire the scenery, we come across places we want to share with other people.

I found one such spot in the Fraser Canyon and decided to place a cache there to offer the incentive for cachers to stop and also admire the view.  Here in Manning I have found another such spot and have placed a cache so you too can see "My point of view".

This spot is on the way to a microwave site that has serviced the area for many many years with communication for Police, Ambulance Service, Forestry and other users. Ham radio operators had placed a Ham Radio Repeater at this site which linked this site into their communication system covering the better part of the lower half of the Province. The Ham Radio equipment was struck by lightning and has been inoperable for a year or more now. Plans are to repair it but the volunteers who do this are limited by their resources and time.

On your way up or down from the parking that allows access to many trails and viewpoints you will find this marked side trail. Stop and take your camera for a little hike and you will be rewarded with some spectacular views of Manning Park Lodge and surrounding area. The picture below was taken from the cache site.

The cache is a custom container which only has room for small items, it holds a logbook and pencil and a small swag item or two. Grab your camera and come and take a peak at "My point of view - Manning". Don't stop here, continue on and explore more of the area and seek other caches in the vicinity.

Please replace carefully, and be careful near the cache site as the terrain is quite steep in places.
