Off State Highway 6 (Cromwell-Luggate) on the north side of the Lowburn Bridge.(Left hand side as you travel north)
In the early days of European settlement a ferry crossed the Clutha River near this point. The ferry was replaced by a bridge in 1938. This bridge was submerged when Lake Dunstan was filled. The intact bridge can be visited by scuba divers and local history says there is a car on the bridge! The Lowburn Inlet is a popular picnic spot. Toilets, BBQ facilities and a children's playground are located at the head of the inlet and can be reached by walking from the cache site or by driving along Lowburn Road on the other side of the inlet.
The cache is a 500ml container filled with the usual notebook, pen, and swaps. It is well camouflaged in an unusual manner. PLEASE REPLACE VERY CAREFULLY.
