A wonderful viewpoint of Tropea and the Eolian Islands.
If you make your way up to this wonderful and pittoresque little building when the weatherconditions allows you to have a longdistance visibility this place will show you my favourite place in Tropea.
Almost straight ahead, slightly to the southwest, you will see the volcanic island of Stromboli accompanied by the other islands of the Eolian Islands. The biggest, and closest, island is Stromboli to which you could easily reach by boat from Tropea.
If you follow the coast northwards you will see a peak far away. This is Monte Pollino, just by the boarder between Calabria and Basilicata regions and has the altitude of 2 248 metres.
And of course, you have a great view of the city of Tropea - the city of the "Cipolla rossa di Tropea" and the "Peperoncini".
The buildning where the cache is hidden is a wonderful little creation. Most of the time the door is closed but you could watch through a hole in the door and discover it by yourself.
The cache is hidden just behind this building and is a big plastic container wrapped around in a plastic bag. Please replace it carefully as there are lots of mugglers here during the summer.

Since I'm not a Calabrian resident I don't have the possibility of maintaing this box all year around but I have a friend in Tropea who promised me to check it out every now and then.
