Volunteers Acre Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not repaired/replaced it, I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Regards

Geocache Description:

Located alongside a public footpath immediately adjacent to the Wenvoe' Orchid Fields conservation project. A public footpath extends through the project which is firm underfoot. Unsuitable for pushchairs and the disabled.

The cache is a 3" x 4" black plastic clip-loc Tupperware container which contains a notepad, pencil, sharpener and welcome card. To find the box pass through the metal gateway from the Orchid Field and look for the tree.
Whilst here please take time to enjoy the superb award-winning work undertaken by the wonderful folk in the local Wenvoe Conservation & Wildlife Group in restoring this field into a beautiful place to enjoy. Walk to the top of the field and rest awhile on one of several benches whilst savouring the fresh air, looking across the valley toward the City of Cardiff or even on a clear day across the Bristol Channel toward Somerset. There are plenty of signs scattered around explaining all the conservation work that is ongoing.
