I bring you a tale of a vagabond who was down on his luck and no place to go. One day he stumbles upon Little Sandy Pond and takes residence along the banks. It's a nice quiet pond where aside from the sounds of passing cars occasionally in the distance, one can forget about their troubles and just relax. The fog rolling off it in the early morning, the sun shimmering off it as it sets in the evening make this place very enjoyable any time of day.
One frightful evening he was murdered while he slept, no reasons or details beyond that have emerged but to this day his moans and groans can often be be heard echoing across the pond around dusk.
Shortly after his death a headstone strangely appeared in the spot where he died, though nobody knows who put it there. Strange incidents are being reported now and then but seem to be more frequent around the anniversary of his death, October 30th. Could he be a victim of 'evil souls' on Hallow's eve and now his soul is trapped here? Or could it just be another case of a story growing bigger than itself and causing fear amongst those who frequent the pond?
One recent account states the feeling of being watched as they started around the pond, always hearing rustling but never seeing anyone or anything... A more outrageous claim talks of a one eyed man chasing someone around the pond and into the parking lot but once in the lot and they turned around, nobody was there...
Anyone walking in the area should take caution and avoid walking the pond around dusk, especially with Halloween approaching.
