You can park in the church car park, please be mindful that the entrance is on a difficult bend |

The cache is accessible from the playing field, you do not need to cross any crops to get to the cache |

Although the cache location is in an isolated area, it is popular with dog walkers. |
Despite the name, this cache is quite some way from the actual school itself. When Gryffindor Finders Jnr (AKA Mountain Goat) was at Tunstall School, this was the school playing field. Unfortunately it involved crossing Tunstall Road and a short walk up a narrow path. This was not ideal, especially if you were carrying school benches and equipment for sports day!
A generous offer from a local resident allowed the school to develop and use a much more suitable area of land with easy access from the school. Although the new village hall is sandwiched between the school and this new field, the children now have safe and easy access during lunchtime and for sports.
The old playing field acts as a good starting point for a few short, but pleasant walks across the adjacent fields. I particularly like this area when it has snowed, not for sledging but just for the pleasure of “tramping” through virgin snow. It can act as a link to a variety of longer more challenging paths if so desired.
The Cache
Is a camouflaged 0.24l clip box containing logbook, pencil and a few swaps. It is a classic hide so shouldn’t present too much of a challenge. Although there are trees, the signal is good and strong to within a couple of meters of the cache location. Please replace the cache carefully to ensure it is secure and hidden.
Why not combine cache this with “Church micro - 1170
Tunstall (GC2862F)” and “Last Boy 1 – UKWMO (GC30YZJ)” for a pleasant
stroll of less than an hour.
