Parking is available in a small layby on the B6051. Cache is a short walk (about 250m) from the road, but please note that the path can be muddy. Container is a reasonable size but has no room for swaps.
Lost in Derbyshire used to be a team of two couples. Sadly one of our members, Paul, lost his battle with cancer in April 2011.
Geocaching gave him great pleasure and was a huge distraction from his illness. It was during a period when he was responding well to chemotherapy that he devised the fiendish puzzle caches which some of you know so well. He had great pleasure in devising these as he had a very active and analytical mind, but wasn’t well enough to work.
We therefore felt it fitting to place a cache in his memory. We did think of doing a puzzle, but couldn’t come up with anything as evil as Paul had devised. We also want as many people as possible to visit the cache.
The cache container was given to him as a Christmas present in 2010 but sadly he fell very ill soon afterwards and never had chance to place it himself.
So we do hope that you enjoy visiting the cache as this one is very personal to us.
