Jennet Heritage Multi-Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team_Schnauzer: This was a great cache while it lasted. We had a fun time putting it out and enjoyed the feedback from the cachers that have found it over the years. Unfortunately, we got note that 3/4 stages - including the final - have been removed. Jennett is a beautiful area and there's no doubt that this area will be used for future caches. However, this cache's run has come to an end. Thank you to all who visited here. We hope that you not only enjoyed the adventure, but also this preserve.

Geocache Description:

This is a four-stage geocache located at Story County Conservation's Jennet Heritage Area south of Nevada. This cache is placed with written permission from the county. Make sure you have good shoes on because the round trip for this cache is just under one mile.

A special THANK YOU to Jerry Keys of Story County Conservation for allowing us to place a cache out here. We hope you love this area as much as we do!

The coordinates for the first stage are those listed above. At this location, you will find the coordinates for the 2nd stage and the same is true for each stage. The final (fourth) stage will contain the log book and some SWAG.

PLEASE put the final container back EXACTLY as you found it. Make sure it is securely in place before you leave.

PARKING is available near the initial (first) stage. They only ask that you don't block the entrance to the access road.

The terrain/difficulty rating could be less (or more) depending on the route you take to get to each stage and the time of year you attempt this cache. This will be virtually impossible during the winter and would be one heck of a bushwhack during the summer. We feel this should be pretty challenging.

FTF prize is a $10 gift card to one of Team Schnauzer's favorite stores.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE PARK RULES:

1) Park Hours are from 5:00 am-10:30 pm. If you are attempting this at night, make sure you provide yourself with enough time to hike to and from the cache site to get out before the park closes. I would allow for AT LEAST 60 minutes.

2) Camping is NOT allowed in the park.

3) Dogs are allowed in the park, but they must remain on leashes.

4) The park is open to hunting during all hunting seasons. If you are out here during a known hunting season, make sure to wear bright colored clothing that is easily visible to hunters.

5) Park boundaries are well-marked. There are still old fences located inside of the park. You don't need to worry about them, but be aware that they are there.

6) Feel free to explore any part of the park that you wish, but swimming is not allowed in either of the lakes or the creeks.

7) Enjoy our beautiful natural areas, but please don't litter. If you find a piece of litter please pick it up.

8) There is a port-a-potty located on the NW corner of the parking area. It is SEASONAL ONLY and not available all times during the year.

Thank you for geocaching in Story County!

**Congratulations to Kraf_TKid on his impressive FTF!**
