Sand du Plessis Traditional Cache
Uncle Chem: Alas, the area is home to a number of muggles now and the place where the cache was placed is now filled up with concrete. Not a complete loss though as it is now one of the stops on the Adventure Lab /CrazyBFN

The Sand du Plessis Theatre Complex
On 1 August 1985, the stunning Sand du Plessis Theatre Complex opened its doors to the public.
Implicit in the brief given to the architects, was the express instruction to imbue the complex with certain definite qualities: warmth, stateliness and serenity. The brief also stated that it should draw the public to it by its bright, welcoming aspect, while creating an atmosphere in its foyers conducive to theanticipation and enjoyment of stage performances and other events. To meet these parameters, a variety of materials were chosen, giving a wide range of textures to create the appropriate moods.
These include the dignity and luxury of blue-veined marble and slightly reflective glass, the warmth of copper, bronze, gilded lamps, carpeting and wood and the strength of concrete and aluminium. The building is an exercise in reflections - those of light in glass, metal and marble and sound off wood and non-absorbent floor covering in the auditorium - culminating in the reflection of the spectacular stained glass window of the Lebohang building in the tinted glass of the eastern facade.
The Sand du Plessis Theatre Complex is without doubt the most versatile entertainment and event venue in the Free State. Offering a sublime mixture of the traditional and contemporary, it is the venue of choice for discerning clients wishing to host a wide range of events.
