Geocache Description:


Hidden along the Red/Balsam Lake Mountain trail, this little mutated bison tube is hanging about head high in a tree, thus making it winter friendly.

If you are using the NYNJTC maps, this cache sits right about where the circle R is on the trail. With this information, you can approach this cache from a couple different areas. I am providing a waypoint for the Beaverkill Parking Area, as that is where we parked. You can follow the Blue to the Red, or the Blue to the Red (yeah, either way!!).

Atop of Balsam Lake Mountain is a wonderful fire tower and a couple benchmarks, if you are so inclined NA2072 and NA2071
