Herbz: Sadly, we decided to archive this one. After recent discussions with the current owners, they do not want visitors going to the cache without their knowledge. Understandable, but they also require an entry fee to visit and enjoy this marvelous property. Again, understandable, but not within Geocaching guidelines so we must archive.

Geocache Description:

Hidden in the magnificent Clarence Gorge country. This cache offers a spectacular views along the Clarence Valley.

The cache is on private property with the owner's permission. "The Gorge" is a working cattle station. The owner, Belinda, also welcomes campers and visitors (see www.theclarencegorge.com.au for details and camping/day use fees). We’d recommend staying a few days and enjoying this wonderful location. If you are a day tripper, Belinda asks that you use the 2-way radio at the entrance to the property and say hello at the homestead (about 4km from the gate) before heading for the cache. She is very friendly and welcoming but please respect the owner's property and wishes. Further up the valley, an enjoyable and varied 6km walk brings you to the spectacular Rainbow Falls, well worth a visit in its own right. There is also another cache there. Access to the property is via Copmanhurst, Lilydale Bridge and Heifer Station Road and 26km of good dirt road. A 4WD is favourite but 2WD with good clearance would be OK. However, the track from the property entrance to the homestead is rougher and a high clearance SUV or 4WD is recommended after a lot of rain. Congratulations Team Benders for the FTF.
