Was LBK Here is a black bison hidden along the Turnagain Arm Trail between the Rainbow and McHugh Creek trailheads. The cache is also accesible from the Sunshine access point.
The cache is approximately 1.4 miles from the Rainbow trailhead. You will have 900 ft of elevation gain in the first mile of the hike. The remainder of the hike is easy.
Caching along the Turnagain Arm Trail can be challenging due to less than perfect gps reception. Those of you who have spent some time along the trail know what I mean!
The coordinates for this cache were averaged for more than 5 minutes with my Oregon 450. There were also 3 other GPS' along for the ride today and all were in agreement with the 450.
This cache is placed under Chugach State Park Permit #11-007.
Come find this cache and visit the others in the area. You will not be disappointed by the views and the workout you will have while doing so!!!!!
