Geocache Description:

This small, dark decon was recently given to me by a caching friend who also donated my TM. The cache is below waist level, but not covered; it is visible.

There is a cache not far away,
Near where the moose and white birch play,
And you may hear a cacher's song,
Or rabbits as they thump along.
A fox or bear may grace the path,
Or you may hear a child laugh.

The coords are pretty steady here.
I sit and sip my cold root beer.
A sandwich will complete my lunch,
With celery and grapes to munch.
The breeze plays softly with my hair -
Now don't you wish that you were there?

My fledgling skills have slowly grown,
Thanks to great cachers I have known.
So many help along the way,
And share their wisdom every day.
And one outstanding is BP,
Who's such an awesome friend to me!

She's patient, kind, and so much fun,
And ready to zip off and run
Right up a hill or through a plain,
In sun or snow or driving rain!
And if coords are wild or bad
You'll never find her loud or mad!

Between birch logs, a knoll, a hill,
Dance through some club plants if you will.
You'll see some head-high evergreens,
Nearby, a deadfall can be seen.
You'll find the log close to a log,
(It's OK, Sugar, caching-dog!)

Cache not covered by leaves or sticks,
There are no sneaky hiding tricks!
It's sunny with new snow today,
Coords seem good, they nicely play!
I wait it out, they average fine -
You should find this in record time!

Original contents: Log, pencil, my TM, a new (still-wrapped) kid's Geocaching bracelet. FTF prize is a really neat glow-in-the-dark smiley pin (I love mine!). (Special thanks to mlb!)

Convenient roadside parking available.

Bear scat was observed here recently, but we know they'll all go to sleep soon! The nearby fox that passed right in front of me last night was heading north, but who knows how far?

FTF - CONGRATULATIONS - Great job, questing! You Rock!

5-3-17 Cache was found missing and was replaced. There's no to tell if it was muggled or is buried beneath the many dozen trees that have been blown down. Coords changed slightly to N 61 23.412 W 149 28.962.

About knee-high beneath some leaves,
Replace when you are done with these,
The cache is in a base of trees,
I saw no foxes, bears, or bees!
