Please take note of how the container is fastened and replace as found. I had had another cache near here that got muggled several times. Please do not attempt to find this cache if muggles are sitting in the gazebo watching you. Chalk it up to a nice little walk, you can get the smiley face some other time.
Between Memorial Day and Labor Day there may be an attendant collecting parking fees. Before 8:00 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m., no one is there. You can always park before crossing the bridge and walk into the park.
The beach is located at the confluences of the Indian, Hammock and Hammonasset Rivers. Plan to be there at sunset to watch the sun set over Cedar Island and Hammonasset Beach SP. One of my favorite spots on a warm summer evening.
