Helvick Pier 3 Windows

Helvick Pier and Harbour is located on the south side of Dungarvan Bay. There is a small fleet of fishing vessels here that mainly catch herring and crustacaens as well as chartering boats out to anglers.

At the head of the pier is the busy RNLI life boat station which houses an Inshore B Class Atlantic 75 Lifeboat.

The Cache

This is a straightforward park and grab located in a small cluster of other geocaches. As you turn off the main road there is no need to park in front of the monument and cross the rough scrub, even though your gps will be pointing that way, drive further down the hill to the parking area where you will have a smoother route to GZ.

The cache is a small tupperware click lock box with a few items to swap. There should be a pen, but in case not, please use your own.

Please exercise caution on your visit to Helvick Pier, There are slip and trip hazards. Also, near to GZ there is a bit or barbed wire so please come away unscathed. Happy hunting
