Geocache Description:

A fun micro situated at the corner of the first BMX track in Britain.

In 1980, David Duffield set up the UKBMXA as a way of promoting BXM biking in the United Kingdom. On August 30th, it held its first race at the BMX track in Redditch. The cache is situated at the site of the original track - now overgrown with weeds. In recent years, two new sporting locations have been opened nearby, the Skate Park and a new improved BMX track. These were controversial developments because they sliced a chunk out of the beloved Arrow Valley Park.

As a child I once tried to cycle here on my BMX and found myself going over the handlebars and splitting my knee open. I had to hobble with my mum to the bus to get to hospital! Five stitches were required!

You will require a multi-tool to help ease the container from its hiding place. Please ensure the cache is well hidden after you leave.
