Geocache Description:

This cache is a large, tupperware type container. It contains a log, a couple trinkets...and i am leaving a trackable here tongiht! BYOP. Enjoy the uniqueness of this cache location.

I feel it is a privilege to be the first to put a cache at the notorious and legendary Screaming Lady Bridge. This is a very famous bridge among all those have lived around here for hundreds of years. The story goes that back in the slave days of the 1800's, a disgruntled slave took his master's baby and ran from the house with the baby to drown him in the creek. The master's wife ran after the slave screaming for her baby, but she was too late. Not only did the baby drown, but the mother drowned also as she was trying to rescue it. It is said that the mother's screams can still be heard to this day at the bridge.

This is also a unique bridge. One of only two left in the state, of this particular structure. I don't think there's much, if any, water under the bridge, with the current drought, but at one time this was a flowing creek.
