Geocache Description:

Second of 3 caches hidden around Widdop/Gorple reservoir area as part of the Watershed Landscape project to help protect, conserve and enhance access to the South Pennine uplands www.watershedlandscape.co.uk. Cache is off main path on a branch of Pennine Bridleway overlooking Widdop reservoir. Main path is clear but terrain is steep and rocky in parts, suitable for mountain bikes and walkers. Stunning views.

The cache is a small plastic box containing information about the project, a log book, pen/pencil and a stash of small poetry art cards (the size of business cards) for finders to take. In each cache the finder will discover a card with a piece of mini art and the verse of a poem by artist Sally Barker and poet Andrew McMillan who have both been inspired by the moorlands around the area. Whilst discovering the landscape, finders can collect the poetry art cards to build a full poem. We would love finders to take a card and leave their own line of poetry in the log book.
