Geocache Description:

Coates church was built in 1840. It took about a year and a half to build, and was dedicated on July 28th 1840.
The bell was hung about 1841. There is a font in the church, but the original is in the Rector's garden.
The church cost £1178 to build. The money was from collections and donations. The stained glass windows, dated 1976, cost about £500 or £600.
The clock in the tower was given by Cecil Hart of Whittlesey, who used to have a cinema in the town.
The churchyard is quite big.
The church has a small choir of about ten children and adults. The choir wear cassocks which are kept in the vestry. When you are in the choir there is a practice every Friday.
There is a service every Sunday at ten.

The cache is a 35mm pot. Gz is a short walk from the church, due to a play park opposite the church, parking as per waypoint is outside the church.

“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list”
