This cache is part of our Grayson Lake series and is located just off the Primitive or blue trail, that begins at the Gate to the Wildlife Habitat area below the dam.
The area where the cache is hidden is set up as a natural habitat setting for wildlife, and is frequented by deer, turkey, and a multitude of smaller animals and birds. There are trails and benches located throughout the area. If you sit quietly, it is almost guaranteed you will see the animals, especially in the early morning or evening hours. BYOP
Remember to observe the “leave no trace” philosophy, and practice CITO as you go.
This cache is placed with permission given by Sylvia Chelf, Natural Resource Specialist at Grayson Lake. Coordinates, and descriptions of all caches located in the Grayson Lake area by us were submitted to the park office prior to placement, and publication. They have all been approved.
