St. Marcellus Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rosemary Roamers: Time to archive this one, it keeps going missing. I suspect that someone in one of the nearby houses is not happy about it being there. Thanks to all who have found it over the years.

Geocache Description:

Worshippers have gathered on the site of St Marcellus Church in Martletwy for around 1,000 years. Martletwy was on an old pilgrim route to St Davids and the church was used by resting pilgrims on their journey. Sadly, the church is due to be partially demolished and managed as a ruin with the graveyard still being used for burials. The church closed for the last time on January 6th, 2011, with the congregation having dwindled to just five.
The cache is a nano and is located on the roadside immediately outside the church. You will need to bring a pin to extract the log and a pen or pencil.
