Ls+Ts+Bs Oh My! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

geojo1: I love this area near the Schuylkill River. So many trails. Last summer rains partially washed out the access road to the Epler's Boat Landing Parking area. With no safe place to park it was time to archive these caches. Thanks to all who ventured out to find this one.

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. This is a fun family mystery cache that I hope you will enjoy solving and finding. I have always enjoyed the movie the Wizard of Oz with its Yellow Brick Road and especially the Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

Once you have solved the puzzle for the mystery coordinates and make your way to the posted coordinates you will have a choice. Since this area has many Yellow Brick Roads (dirt bike trails) crisscrossing the area you will get to decide the route you would like to take to the final. There are four basic routes:

Lions follows the river stay to the right at any Y to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Schuylkill River this is the longest and most scenic route (terrain 1.5)

Tigers main forest trail to enjoy wildflowers, trees and birds continue straight (terrain 1.5)

Bears follows the rocky base of the nearby hillside stay to the left at first Y of the Tigers this will rejoin Tigers farther on (terrain 2.0)

Oh My! for the adventurists follow the top of the ridge for a view of the lower basins on both sides go up the first hill or any of the many hill crossings (terrain 3.0)

GPSr Good Luck! since I have no idea looks like a bushwhack! This is the shortest route!!! (terrain ????)

There are so many crossovers that you could create your own Yellow Brick Road.

Happy Caching!

Please be aware of the two private roads in the area that are marked. At the first Y take the left road at the second Y take the right road. This is a public access road with private property on both sides.

This area is open for public hunting be sure to wear ORANGE during hunting season!
