Geocache Description:

Ahhhh...Remember the old time shows?

I loved growing up in the 60's & 70's. And I spent a lot of my time as a kid watching TV. We didn't have as many television channels as the kids do in this age (nor as many televisions in the home), but there was usually still something good on TV to watch.

Who can forget great shows like Gilligan's Island? Brady Bunch? Partridge Family? The Waltons? Bewitched? Little House on the Prairie? Adam 12? Dragnet? Six Million Dollar Man? Odd Couple? Mash? Love Boat? Fantasy Island? Happy Days? Batman? Planet of the Apes? Welcome Back Kotter? And so many more!

I remember every Saturday watching dozens of Saturday morning cartoons (my favorite was Scooby Doo). On Sunday afternoons I always looked forward to some great movie playing (my favorites were the Bob Hope and Jerry Lewis movies). And of course there were the annual showings of certain classic movies like "The Wizard of Oz" and "The Ten Commandments" and "It's a wonderful life".

Now don't think I spent ALL my time indoors glued to the tube. No, I LOVED to play outdoors. But there was just something magical about having these dramatic stories "float" across the radio waves into your television set.

Well, new ages have brought us new technologies, and faster and increased viewing options. I suppose it's not all bad. But sometimes I still miss the simplicity of what we had a few decades ago.

Cache is nano-sized, but container is much bigger.
