A woman recently had fallen into a huge hole that she was unable
to get out of herself. No matter how she tried on her own,
she just couldn't seem to climb out of it alone. She had been
in this hole for quite some time when she heard footsteps
approaching.
A Doctor was walking by and peeked into the hole. The
woman cried "Doctor, I'm in this hole, can you help me get
out?" The Doctor eagerly filled out a prescription and threw
it in the hole and moved on. Realizing she still can't get
out, she started to cry.
Not soon after, a clergyman happened by the hole. The
woman again cried out "Father, I'm stuck in this hole - can you
help me out?" The priest quickly wrote down a prayer on a
piece of paper and threw it into the hole and moved on.
Again, the woman began to cry.
Then a friend walked by. After looking down into the hole,
he heard the woman speak to him. "Hey, I'm down in this hole.
Can you help me out?" Without any hesitation whatsoever, the
friend jumped into the hole with the woman.
Upon picking himself up, the woman said "Oh, great.. now you are
stuck down in this hole with me."
The friend replied "Yeah, but I've been down here before, and I
know the way out."
So, you see - you never know who can help you out during your
most difficult time. And that my friends, is the moral of the
story.
