Geocache Description:

The Sum practice series was published alongside the “3 out of 6 = ½” Multi cache. It comprises a trail of caches linking two historically significant sites, the famous Stanley Ferry Aqueduct (see link for more) and the Newland estate (see link for more), which has a long history dating back to the Bronze Age. As well as providing an interesting walk in its own right, this series is designed to give you sum simple practice to help solve the much more difficult sums involved in the Multi cache. Due to changes to the series this cache has been left somewhat isolated from the others and was due to be archived but I have kept it going effectively as a stand alone, especially as Keiratashabg were kind enough to replace the old cache with a new dry container in May 2021.

You can do the sums for all this series at your leisure in the warmth of your own home and check your answer in the hint. Although the hint confirms the answer to the sum, THERE IS NO LONGER A BONUS to the series so the sum now has no benefit whatsoever except as a bit of fun to keep your brain active!

Please replace as found.

If A=2 and B=4 and C= 7 what is D?

2C – (A + 2B) + square root of B = D
