This is one in a series of caches entitled "Take a Hike" that was placed by The Lynch Three between 2011-2012. There are no puzzles, no hard multi's, or no challenging hides in this series; instead, what they share in common is a good hike in the woods, enjoyable in any season.
The Lynch Three has been retired from caching for a while now, so I adopted some of this series so that others could have the same experience of taking a great hike like I once did! Since the cache placement, there has been lots of tree cutting at ground zero and the trails are just a bit overgrown. Still this is a great place to take a walk near the soccer field and farm! (The Lynch Three, 2011): I just discovered this little trail system the other day, and I enjoy its mix of fields and woods. While there is a trail head on Foster Street, there is also one at the Foster Soccer fields off of Boxford Street that has more convenient parking. From the parking walk past the empty sign board, parallel the field and turn right about 2/3 down the field. You'll come to a wide path that goes between two fences (see waypoint below) for a few hundred feet before crossing a little stone wall and walking along the edge of the field. The loop through the woods starts at the Hillock Trail sign (see waypoint below); you can proceed in either clock-direction from here. Enjoy your hike!
