Geocache Description:

Only now, in time for summer am I able to openly discuss this very special time in my life. It is the untold portions of the story of a love affair. It had its ups and downs. It churned my ocean and yes, the seas did move for me. Let me share the tale with you, my fellow geocachers. It is the story of a turbulent love affair with the briefest love of my life: Beaufort.

Why Beaufort? To protect the innocent I will not use her real name, but she did speak french with an australian accent. As the french would say, she was beautiful "beau" and strong "fort", so I will call her my Beaufort. Meeting her was a moment I would never forget! She whistled to me to draw my attention and very large amounts of airborne spray severely reduced visibility, and my ability to see what happened. She could obviously not whistle well, so she began summoning me with hand gestures. Moderate waves of some length. I wasn't sure if she was beckoning me or doing flag semaphore. Regardless, she had my attention. Calm came over me. A moderate breeze blew past her making her brown hair dance and her sun dress billow. As far as I was concerned there was nothing else in the world but this gorgeous and stunning person.

I swaggered to her in manly confidence, and her hand gestures reduced to small waves with breaking crests. "What's your name my beautiful?", I asked with Scottish passion. "Beaufort.", she uttered with lips spattering moderate amounts of airborne spray. I was misted with spittle. My mind flashed to a fond memory of a blustery day canoeing the Fraser River. There were moderate waves of some length, many whitecaps and small amounts of spray, all reminding me of this damp yet tender moment. Was I in love?
My knees wobbled like small trees in leaf begin to sway. The intoxicating presence of Beaufort. Her skin tender and mostly pale like fairly frequent whitecaps on open water. Our love was the perfect storm.

I was hopeful the salivation issue would sort itself out, and sure enough the next few months went by with a flash. It didn't get better, but I just told my friends she had a saliva gland condition. Beaufort and I stole every possible moment to be together. As the summer concluded we walked along the beach, hand in hand, alone with our thoughts and a drying towel. I knew it was time for us to part. I held her in my arms, our lips touched, and I whispered “goodbye, my love” and disappeared into the horizon. This bison tube is dedicated to you, my love. There is no love themed swag. Just the emptiness that symbolizes my heart. Thank you for everything, Beaufort.
