Morgan's 9th Birthday Traditional Cache
F3M: We hadn't been back to check on this one in a while and it had begun to fall apart, so we removed it. Morgan is now 17, so it lasted a good 8 years. Thanks to all who joined the fun!

This is Morgan's first hide in honor of his birthday. It is next to his favorite place to stop for lunch along one of his favorite hikes in his all time favorite state park. While hiding this today, he also lost a tooth, so now it commemorates that as well!
If coming from the intersection of Jackson Flat and the Canyon Rim trail, this is near the first view point on the Canyon Rim Trail. Near a wide area in the trail, covered in shale, there is a small four trunk oak covered in lichen on the down hill side of the trail. One of its trunks is just the right size for a child to sit on it. This is a great place to stop, rest, and soak in the view.
Our GPS was spotty and only gave us a reading within 35 feet, so you may need the spoiler.
Note: If you are continuing on the Canyon Rim trail, parts of it are quite narrow and have been washed out past this point. It is still passable, but if hiking with children or individuals who are nervous about heights, you might consider using the Butano Fire road to complete the loop instead. The fire road has some stunning views as well.
