This cache: Could be done as a drive-by, but shouldn't be as cars can come around corners pretty quickly on this road. Best park at the church and walk back for it (via LB07) if that's the mood you're in.
Biography: 1977 was mostly spent eating homemade ice-lollies with the first girl I ever kissed, Heather McVerny (see photo). I also recall street parties for the Silver Jubilee.
Wider world: 1977 was the year of Star Wars, which blew me away on a wet day while on holiday in Weston-Super-Mare, I think. Disco and Trimphones (no dial- buttons to press!) had arrived, along with Saturday Night Fever dancing and Wings' Mull of Kintyre which was a chart topper for a full nine weeks. Wolfie Smith made my surname cool in Citizen Smith as the Tooting Popular Front and Slime, Othello and Skateboarding were popular too :) Number 1 on my birthday: The Name of the Game by Abba.
Where next: Continue along the pavement to a metal kissing gate on your right and pass through to reach LB07.
